About us

A little bit about us! We run a (very) small herb nursery in Leicestershire, growing culinary varieties as well as the old medicinal and dye plants. Herbs are amazing plants, which have been used for centuries to dye fabric, make remedies and soothe the skin – making them perfect ingredients for handmade soaps.

Why use our handmade soaps? Well, if you want to use soaps made from sustainable, natural ingredients and presented in compostable packaging - no plastics or palm oil here! - then Cooks Lane Herbs is for you.

We dry our herbs and infuse them into our herbal soaps, which are made using ingredients such as coconut oil, cocoa butter, olive oil, shea butter, herbal teas and rice bran oil.

Clays, herbs like madder and comfrey, are used to colour each bar naturally while essential oil blends bring incredible mood-boosting scents. And because we only ever made soap in small batches, every bar is individual and different.

You'll also find gardeners' salve, muscle rubs, Himalayan salts, facial steams and pure clay face masks all made with the same sustainably-sourced ingredients that your skin will love!
